NTSE Scholarship 2024: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) administers the NTSE 2024 scholarship exam to students in Class 10. The NTSE Exam is an all-India scholarship exam that is given on a merit basis. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) administers the NTSE 2024 scholarship exam to students in Class 10. Students of all categories and from all family income groups are eligible to apply for the NTSE exam in 2024. The NTSE exam is conducted in two stages: the NTSE Stage 1 Exam and the NTSE Stage 2 Exam. Both the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) are covered in the scholarship exam questions. Every year, around 9–10 lakh candidates appear for the NTSE Scholarship Exam Phase 1 in Class 10 from all the states and union territories. Out of which, around 8,500 students are selected for NTSE exam stage 2. Scholarships are awarded to approximately 2000 students. NTSE Scholarship: Syllabus

The NCERT scholarship exam does not follow a set NTSE syllabus. Class 9 and 10 level questions will be the basis for NTSE 2024 stages 1 and 2. It is advised that the full NCERT syllabus for their class be studied and completed. In order to get a sense of the kinds of questions that are asked in the exam, students can also look through the question papers from previous years. Candidates may also download the official “Learn about the Test” booklet, which includes sample exams for the NTSE and TSE.

NTSE Scholarship: Stage 1 Exam

A number of states and union territories conduct Phase I exams. Applicants must complete the state-specific NTSE application form. There are online NTSE forms for certain states and offline application forms for others. States may impose separate application fees, but all states—aside from West Bengal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands—conduct the exam on the same day. Every state uses the same NTSE exam pattern in addition to the same exam date. The enrollment of students in classes 9 and 10 in various states and UTs determines how many students in each state qualify for the Phase 2 exam.

NTSE Scholarship: Stage 2 Exam

NCERT is in charge of NTSE Stage 2. Students who pass the stage 1 exam are eligible to take the stage 2 exam for the NTSE without having to pay an application fee. NTSE MAT Question Paper Pattern

MAT is used to test the power of reasoning, ability to think, ability to judge, evaluate or discriminate, ability to visualize in space, spatial orientation, etc.

MAT questions are asked on the following topics:

NTSE Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

Both genders are eligible to apply for the NTSE Scholarship. All Indian nationals and those studying abroad in Class 10 are eligible.

  • The NTS scholarship is available for advanced study in the fine arts, commerce, languages, social sciences, humanities, and sciences.
  • Indian nationals enrolled in international schools may take the NTSE Stage 2 directly.
  • Anyone can take the NTSE exam, regardless of nationality.
  • The student’s first appearance should be in Class 10.
  • As long as they are not employed and are younger than 18 on July 1st of that year, students attending NIOS and other open schools are eligible to take the NTSE exam.
NTSE Eligibility for Indian Students studying abroad
  • Only candidates who have earned at least 60% of the possible points (total) in the previous annual examination are eligible to take the second-level NTS exam.
  • Since there will only be one test centre in India, candidates must travel there to appear in the NTS Exam.

NTSE 2024 Application form and Process

For the Stage 1 exam, the NTSE application must be completed. Students must obtain the NTSE Application Form from the State/UT Liaison Officer or the state SCERT website. Towards the bottom of this page is a list of State Liaison Officers for NTSE, organised by region. By clicking on the link on this page, candidates can download the application.

  • The student must complete the NTSE application form with all necessary information, and the school principal must sign the completed form.

NTSE Admit Card 2024-25: Download Online

Each state will release an NTSE admit card in accordance with the students who have completed the application successfully. The NTSE Exam Center’s address, NTSE Roll Number, and other details are listed on the admit card. Without their NTSE admit card, candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam room.

NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card: Students can download the admit card by providing the necessary information, and it will be available 21 days prior to the exam. The candidates must paste their attested photo on the admit card after downloading it.

Selection Process

  • Test of Aptitude: The two tests that make up the NTSE Exam are the Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). There are 40 science questions, 40 social science questions, and 20 math questions on the NTSE SAT.
  • NTSE Negative Marking: The NTSE 2024 does not have negative marking.
  • Language of Examination for NTSE 2024: Assamese, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are among the languages in which the examination is administered.
  • NTSE Qualifying Marks: The qualifying marks for the NTSE Examination are 32% for reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and PWD, and 40% for the general category. To be eligible, candidates must receive these minimum scores on each paper.

FAQs

Q.) What are the requirements for eligibility under the NTSE Scholarship Program, and how do I apply?
