KVPY Scholarship Amount: KVPY or Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is a national-level scholarship exam. KVPY Scholarship Test (DST) was launched by the Department of Science and Technology to encourage and attract exceptionally motivated students to pursue careers in basic science and research-related fields. The Indian Institute of Science offers the KVPY Scholarship to class 11 and 12 science students and first-year undergraduate students in the primary science stream. KVPY Scholarship Amount
KVPY scheme provides scholarships to students studying basic sciences namely M.Sc./M.S., B.S./B.Sc./B.Math./B.Stat./Int in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are. Application Process for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholarship
There are three steps to successfully complete the KVPY application:
- Registration

Application Process
- Go to the KVPY login section on the scholarship portal.
- Complete the online registration.
- Enter personal details like name, stream of education, date of birth, email id, phone number etc.
- Review the terms and conditions and submit ‘Agree’.
- Submit Register button.
- The applicant will receive a password and username in the registered email id.
- Login and provide academic details.
- Upload photo and signature (scanned copy).
- Pay the Application Fee Through Net Banking, ATM-Debit Card or Credit Card.
KVPY Scholarship Registration Process
The instructions regarding the registration process for the scholarship have to be followed strictly.
- Students are requested to fill in all the details carefully.
- A valid mobile number and email ID are mandatory for online registration.
- The mobile number and email ID must remain active till the declaration of results.
- No changes can be made to the application after the submission of registration.
- After receiving the confirmation of registration, candidates can log in with the User ID and Password.
Application Fee Details
- INR 1000 will be the application fee for the General and OBC categories.
- The application fee for SC/ST and PwD is INR 500 (excluding bank charges).
Application Form
KVPY Scholarship every year publishes detailed advertisements of information in the month of July. Candidates can access the application form after the publication of the advertisement. What if I crack KVPY?
After passing the KVPY, you will get a scholarship (monthly and yearly) through your fundamental technical knowledge course (three years or five years corporate course).
Can we attempt all 4 subjects in KVPY?
With respect to streams SB and SX, there will be four sections in Part I (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) and four sections in Part II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics). Candidates can answer any three out of four subjects in Part I and any two out of four subjects in Part II.
What are the maximum marks in KVPY?
In Part 1, 1 mark award for each correct answer and 0.25 marks deduct for each wrong answer. In Part 2, 2 marks award for each correct answer and 0.5 marks deduct for each wrong answer. The total mark allotted for the question paper is 100 with a total of 25 marks for each subject.
