Objective
This scholarship’s primary goal is to give money to Indian students whose parents work in the unorganized sector. This scholarship program is available to any students who wish to pursue higher education but are unable to do so due to financial difficulties. This program will assist in raising the percentage of education among Indian pupils who are economically disadvantaged. Financial Assistance for Education to the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers – Pre-Matric and Post-Matric
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has started providing pre- and post-matric financial aid for the education of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers’ Wards. To assist the children employed by the movie theatre workers, the manganese and chrome ore mines (IOMC) in Beedi, the dolomite mines (LSDM) in Mica, and the manganese and iron ore mines (IOMC) in Limestone. The student will receive between INR 1000 and INR 25000 under this scheme. Via the DBT mechanism, the beneficiaries’ bank accounts will receive direct transfers of the financial aid and other program benefits. This system comes in the following types:-

Eligibility Criteria: Labour Scholarship 2024
- A registered construction worker with the Karnataka government’s Labour Welfare Board is a prerequisite for the student’s enrollment.
- The Karnataka government’s Labour Welfare Board must give a labor card to the student’s father.
- As per the recent press release from the Labour Welfare Board, the parents’ monthly income shall not exceed Rs. 35,000.
- To be eligible, students must have received a passing score on the preceding exam—50% for General students and 45% for SC/ST students.
