Nabanna Scholarship 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Nabanna Scholarship, a student must fulfill the following eligibility requirements –
- Students must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- Students must have passed the final examination from any recognized board, or council of the University of West Bengal and continue their studies from any recognized institute in West Bengal.
- The student must have secured 50% and above but less than 60% marks in aggregate in the Secondary (Class 10) examination for the +2 level.
- The student must have secured 50% and above but less than 60% marks in the Senior Secondary (Class 12) examination for graduation.
- Students must have secured 50% and above but less than 53% marks in graduation for the postgraduate level.
- The annual family income of a student should not exceed INR 1,20,000.
- Candidates should not be in receipt of any other Government (Central/State) scholarship or stipend for the same course or stage of study during the previous year.

- छात्रों को किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड, या पश्चिम बंगाल विश्वविद्यालय की परिषद से अंतिम परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करनी चाहिए और पश्चिम बंगाल में किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से अपनी पढ़ाई जारी रखनी चाहिए।
- छात्र को +2 स्तर के लिए माध्यमिक (कक्षा 10) परीक्षा में कुल मिलाकर 50% और उससे अधिक लेकिन 60% से कम अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
- छात्र को स्नातक के लिए सीनियर सेकेंडरी (कक्षा 12) परीक्षा में 50% और उससे अधिक लेकिन 60% से कम अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
- छात्रों को स्नातकोत्तर स्तर के लिए स्नातक में 50% और उससे अधिक लेकिन 53% से कम अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
- एक छात्र की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय INR 1,20,000 से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
- उम्मीदवारों को पिछले वर्ष के दौरान उसी पाठ्यक्रम या अध्ययन के चरण के लिए किसी अन्य सरकारी (केंद्रीय/राज्य) छात्रवृत्ति या वजीफे की प्राप्ति नहीं होनी चाहिए।

Nabanna Scholarship 2022 – List of Required Documents
While applying for Nabanna Scholarship, students need to attach a set of documents in support of their application. These documents include –
- Photocopy of tuition/admission fee book
- Copies of mark sheets of all previous examinations passed
- Copies of rank card and allotment letter of the selection committee (only for JEE or equivalent exam)
- Copy of recommendation from MP/MLA to Honorable Chief Minister stating the monthly family income of the student
- Self-bank account details (IFSC code, branch code, branch name, account number, bank name) along with a photocopy of the bank passbook.
- Copy of Monthly Family Income Certificate from DM/ SDO/ BDO/ Group-A Govt. An officer not below the rank of Executive Officer in case of Joint BDO / Deputy Commissioner of Corporation / Municipality
- Self-declaration by the student about his/her current course of study mentioning the year/semester and receipt of any scholarship/aid/assistance, countersigned with seal by the head of the current institution.

Nabanna Scholarship 2022 – Selection Process & Fund Disbursement
The selection of students for the Nabanna Scholarship Scheme will be done on the basis of their final exam percentage and their family’s economic condition. After submitting the application form, it will take three or more months to complete the process. The scholarship request will be scrutinized by the CMRF Cell of the Chief Minister’s Office. This may be sent to the District Magistrate or Commissioner of Police, Kolkata for further verification. Selected students will receive the scholarship amount in their respective bank accounts.
Note: Sanction of financial assistance is a one-time grant and is provisional. The Authority may cancel the prior approval at any time without assigning any reason.
