NSP Scholarship Portal Renewal 2022-23: National Scholarships Portal is a one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal of various scholarships to Students are enabled. This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent ‘SMART’ System for faster & effective disposal of Scholarships applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries’ accounts without any leakages. The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of the National Scholarships Portal under the National e-Governance Plan aims at providing a common electronic portal for implementing various Scholarship schemes launched by Union governments, State governments and Union Territories across the country.

First Step- Registration
First of all, you have to visit the official website of the NSP Portal. Now the home page of the website will open in front of you.

After this, you have to click on the option of new registration on the homepage of the website. Now the instructions will be displayed in front of you.
You have to read these instructions carefully. After that, you have to click on the continue option.

Now a new page will open on your screen. All the required information asked on this new page, such as Name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email id, bank details, etc. have to be entered.
After this, you have to enter the captcha code and click on the option of Register. Now your registration will be done, after that, you will get your student registration ID.

After this, you have to click on the option of student registration on the homepage of the website. Now a new login page will open in front of you.
On this new page, you have to log in through your student registration id. Now you have to click on the icon of the application form.
Now the application form will be displayed on your screen. And now you will get all the information asked in this application form, such as Domicile State, Student Name, Date of Birth, Community / Category, Father’s Name, Aadhar Card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Enter the details of annual family income, email id etc.
Now you have to click on Save and Continue option. After that, you have to upload scanned copies of the required documents.

For access to the NSP mobile application and to apply for scholarships through NSP, go to the Google Play Store. Additionally, it is accessible through the Indian government’s UMANG mobile app. Now all you need to do is register for the scholarship and submit an application.

Is it necessary to upload documents for NSP?
Uploading of documents is mandatory for both Fresh and Renewal cases under Post Matric and Merit cum Means and Scholarship Schemes. Uploading of documents is mandatory in case of the Pre matric Scholarship Scheme and also if the student is applying online.

Immediately contact the Nodal Officer (either Institute Nodal Officer or District / State Level Nodal Officer) where your application is lying for verification and request him to mark your application as DEFECTIVE.
Does everyone get NSP scholarship?
Yes, only those candidates whose annual family income is less than or equal to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum is cover under the ambit of the scheme.
