Pre-Matric Scholarship
The Pre-Matric Scholarship is only available to full-time students studying in Government Schools in Classes IX and X.
The annual gross sum of all sources of income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
The pupils would receive a cumulative annual academic allowance of Rs. 4,000.
Released to the States and Union Territories for the 2023–2024 fiscal year, the total amount of Rs 32.44 crore will allow them to carry out the Scheme till January 18, 2024.
Post-Matric Scholarships
These scholarships support post-matriculation or post-secondary students in completing their education.
The annual gross sum of all sources of income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
Depending on the type of course, students receive an academic allowance that can range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000.
Released to the States and Union Territories for the 2023–2024 fiscal year, the total amount of Rs 387.27 crore would allow them to carry out the Scheme through January 18, 2024.

Top-Class College Education

The annual gross sum of all sources of income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
Financial assistance for scholars admitted to the approved schools will pay for (a) full tuition and non-refundable fees (up to a maximum of Rs. 3.72 lakhs per student annually for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses and up to Rs. 2.00 lakhs per student annually for private sector schools). (b) living expenses, paid to the recipient at a rate of Rs. 3,000 per month for each student; (c) books and stationery, paid to the recipient at a rate of Rs. 5,000 per year for each student; and (iv) a brand-new, top-of-the-line laptop or computer, up to a maximum of Rs. 45,000 for each student as one-time assistance during the course.

Building of an OBC Boys’ and Girls’ Hostel
To improve the quality of education available to students from socially and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds, especially those from rural areas, the scheme aims to establish hostel facilities. This will allow the students to pursue secondary and post-secondary education at government schools, universities, institutions, and institutes that are reasonably located.
To carry out the Scheme through December 2023 in the fiscal year 2023–2024, a total of Rs 12.75 crore has been made available to the States and Union Territories.
