You must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-
Applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra state or must belong to the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
The candidate must be currently in class 12 or must have passed the board exam to be eligible for this scholarship.
Applicant must belong to the Maratha community.
He/she should be pursuing any Professional/Non-Professional course approved by DHE in Government Aided/Non-Government Aided/Partially Aided/Unaided/Permanent Unaided College/Institute.
The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources.
The candidate should have been admitted to the course through the general quota.
Students pursuing part-time/distance learning/correspondence courses are not eligible to apply.
Only the first 2 children of a family are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

उसे सरकारी सहायता प्राप्त / गैर-सरकारी सहायता प्राप्त / आंशिक रूप से सहायता प्राप्त / गैर-सहायता प्राप्त / स्थायी गैर-सहायता प्राप्त कॉलेज / संस्थान में डीएचई द्वारा अनुमोदित किसी भी व्यावसायिक / गैर-पेशेवर पाठ्यक्रम का अनुसरण करना चाहिए।
और आवेदक की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय सभी स्रोतों से INR 8,00,000 से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
उम्मीदवार को सामान्य कोटा के माध्यम से पाठ्यक्रम में प्रवेश दिया जाना चाहिए था।
इसलिए पार्ट-टाइम/डिस्टेंस लर्निंग/पत्राचार पाठ्यक्रम करने वाले छात्र आवेदन करने के पात्र नहीं हैं।
और केवल एक परिवार के पहले 2 बच्चे ही छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं।

Every year more than 5 lakh students take advantage of the scholarship.
Government-aided / non-government-aided professional courses with an annual income limit under INR 2,50,000 get 100% tuition fee coverage.
Candidates pursuing professional courses in partially aided/unaided/permanent unaided colleges/institutes with an annual income limit under INR 2,50,000 get 50% tuition fee coverage.
Students pursuing government-aided/non-government-aided professional courses with an annual income limit of INR 2,50,000- INR 8,00,000 get 50% tuition fee coverage.
Candidates pursuing professional courses in a partially aided/unaided/permanent unaided college/institute with an annual income range of INR 2,50,000- INR 8,00,000 get 50% tuition fee coverage.
Students pursuing non-professional courses in government aided / un-aided / partially aided / un-aided / permanent un-aided college/institute with an annual income limit under INR 8,00,000 gets 100% tuition fee coverage.

What is the minimum percentage in 12th for a scholarship?
Applicants’ marks should not be less than 70% in the qualifying exam. The admission of the candidate to the programs must be on the basis of merit to be eligible for the scholarship.
