The objective of the Snehapoorvam Scholarship 2022

In Kerala, there are around 75000 children who are below 18 years of age and are living in orphanages. In such a situation, it is very difficult for them to continue their studies. Hence the Government of Kerala has introduced the Snehapoorvam Scholarship which will help these students to continue their education despite the death of their parents or earning members. All children who are below 5 years of age up to 12th standard and even in degree colleges are also eligible to avail the benefits of this scholarship scheme. With the successful implementation of this scheme, orphan children will be able to continue their education despite financial problems.

केरल में, लगभग 75000 बच्चे हैं जो 18 वर्ष से कम उम्र के हैं और अनाथालयों में रह रहे हैं। ऐसे में उनके लिए अपनी पढ़ाई जारी रखना काफी मुश्किल होता है। इसलिए केरल सरकार ने स्नेहपूर्वम छात्रवृत्ति की शुरुआत की है जो इन छात्रों को अपने माता-पिता या कमाने वाले सदस्यों की मृत्यु के बावजूद अपनी शिक्षा जारी रखने में मदद करेगी। 5 वर्ष से कम आयु के सभी बच्चे 12 वीं कक्षा तक और यहां तक कि डिग्री कॉलेजों में भी इस छात्रवृत्ति योजना का लाभ उठाने के पात्र हैं। इस योजना के सफल क्रियान्वयन से अनाथ बच्चे वित्तीय समस्याओं के बावजूद अपनी शिक्षा जारी रख सकेंगे।

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scheme you must follow the eligibility criteria given below:-

• Applicant must be a resident of Kerala state
• Applicant must be an orphan
• An applicant must be studying in any government or private school in the state of Kerala
• Applicant must be below the poverty line
• Annual income for APL category children should be-
  • Below 20,000 for rural areas
  • 22,375 or less for urban areas
