Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship the applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria:-
- The applicant must be a student in the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate courses in government/aided colleges or university departments.
- He/she must belong to a BPL family and must be a member of a family with an income below the poverty line.
- Applicant must have secured 50% or above marks in the qualifying examination

Suvarna Jayanti Scholarship Amount Details
In this scholarship the following awards will be given to the applicant:-
- Scholarship amount Rs. 10,000/- per annum which will be deposited in the bank account of the selected candidates.
- The applicant should have a bank account in his/her name with the State Bank of Travancore.

इस छात्रवृत्ति में आवेदक को निम्नलिखित पुरस्कार दिए जाएंगे:-
- छात्रवृत्ति राशि रु. 10,000 / – प्रति वर्ष जो चयनित उम्मीदवारों के बैंक खाते में जमा किया जाएगा।
- आवेदक का स्टेट बैंक ऑफ त्रावणकोर में उसके नाम से एक बैंक खाता होना चाहिए।
Number of Scholarships
The following scholarships are available in this scheme:-
- The number of scholarships for each college will be in proportion to the number of candidates studying in the college.
- A 10% scholarship has been earmarked for those belonging to SC/ ST categories.
- 10 scholarships are reserved for those belonging to the PWD category and another 5 are reserved for outstanding performers in arts/sports at the State/National level.
- Recipients of any other scholarship are also not eligible for this scholarship.
- However, a one-time grant received by SC/ST candidates is exempted for the purpose of this provision.
- With the approval of the college council, the list of candidates eligible for the scholarship in the college prepared by the head of the institution and related documents should be made available in the college itself.

इस योजना में निम्नलिखित छात्रवृत्तियां उपलब्ध हैं:-
- प्रत्येक महाविद्यालय के लिए छात्रवृत्तियों की संख्या महाविद्यालय में अध्ययनरत अभ्यर्थियों की संख्या के अनुपात में होगी।
- अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति वर्ग के लोगों के लिए 10% छात्रवृत्ति निर्धारित की गई है।
- 10 छात्रवृत्तियां पीडब्ल्यूडी श्रेणी से संबंधित लोगों के लिए आरक्षित हैं और अन्य 5 राज्य/राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कला/खेल में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वालों के लिए आरक्षित हैं।
- किसी अन्य छात्रवृत्ति के प्राप्तकर्ता भी इस छात्रवृत्ति के लिए पात्र नहीं हैं।
- हालांकि, अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति के उम्मीदवारों द्वारा प्राप्त एकमुश्त अनुदान को इस प्रावधान के उद्देश्य से छूट दी गई है।
- महाविद्यालय परिषद् के अनुमोदन से महाविद्यालय में छात्रवृत्ति हेतु पात्र अभ्यर्थियों की सूची संस्था प्रमुख द्वारा तैयार कर महाविद्यालय में ही उपलब्ध करायें।
Documents Required for Suvarna Jayanti Scholarship
The following documents are required in this scholarship scheme:-
- Attested copy of mark list of SSLC attested by Gazetted Officer
- Attested copy of the first page of the bank passbook in the name of the student showing account number, name, code, etc. attested by Gazetted Officer
- Birth certificate
- Certificate from the local body to establish that the applicant belongs to the BPL category
- Income Certificate
- Copy of mark sheet of qualifying examination certified by Gazetted Officer
- Community Certificate for SC/ST applicants
- Documents in support of excellence in Arts/Sports at State/National level attested by Gazetted Officer
- Disability certificate in case of PWD category candidates

What is the amount of the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship?
