TN ADW Scholarship

To give students from underrepresented communities financial assistance, the Tamilnadu State Government launched the ADW Scholarship Tamil Nadu. The student who receives this scholarship will receive financial assistance, allowing them to continue their education without concern for money. Before the deadline of February 29, 2024, the applicant must complete the application form. The annual income of the household must not exceed INR 2 lakhs to qualify for this scheme. Reward Details

Schools

  • The government will provide female students with the following ADW scholarship incentives:
  • Students studying in grades III through V who are female SC/ST members would receive INR 500 annually.
  • Students in class VI who are SC/ST girls will receive an annual stipend of INR 1,000 from the Adi Dravidar Tribal Welfare.
  • Girls from SC/ST backgrounds enrolled in classes VII and VIII would receive INR 1,500 annually.
  • Children enrolled in class X who work in dirty occupations will get INR 1,850 under the ADW award.
  • The government will pay for the price of schooling, as well as any special, application, registration, or examination fees.
  • The welfare will choose 1,000 boys and 1,000 girls who placed first and second in the Class XII board exam, giving them a five-year award of INR 3,000 annually.
  • To help with their educational costs, day scholars in classes IX and X will earn INR 2,250 annually.
  • The annual compensation for hosts in classes IX and X is INR 4,500.

For Schools Higher Secondary Level

  • Ten worthy children from each district who received the best scores on their Class X exams are chosen by the government. With the help of the ADW scholarship, the welfare will pay for the selected student’s education as they follow classes XI and XII at prestigious private institutions.
  • For students in classes I through XII at government, Adi Dravidar, and tribal welfare schools, the ADW welfare will give free textbooks.
  • For pupils preparing for the class X and class XII board exams, the welfare department also offers free study aids and question banks.
  • Four sets of uniforms will be given out for free to students attending ADW schools and living in ADW dorms.
  • Students taking the Class X and XII board exams are given special lessons.
  • Girls who have converted to Christianity and boys enrolled in classes XI and XII are eligible for free bicycles from welfare.

For College Students

  • Under the higher education ADW scholarship, the government offers INR 7,500 to students enrolled in polytechnic and undergraduate programs.
  • Students will get INR 8,000 per year if they are pursuing professional courses and a postgraduate degree.
  • Students in self-finance colleges are also eligible for an ADW scholarship amount from the state government.
  • To begin their legal careers, the newly graduated solicitors will get a one-time payment of INR 50,000.
