Yasasvi Scholarship 2024

The Indian government formed MSJ&E, a national testing agency that is an independent, self-sufficient premier testing organization that administers effective, transparent, and standardized examinations to applicants for admission to elite higher education institutions. The PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for a Vibrant India (YASASVI) is the resultant initiative of the government.

This scholarship is only available to DNT, OBC, and nomadic or semi-nomadic tribes. The next section contains a detailed description of the eligibility conditions. There are two different levels of scholarships given to students in the ninth and eleventh grades. The particular state or union territory that the applicant belongs to, i.e., where she/he resides, is the only entity that awards scholarships under this program to Indian students. The YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST 2024 is a written test that will be used to select applicants for scholarship awards.

26th January 2024 Update:- Applications invited for PM YASASVI Scholarship 2024 through the NSP Portal

OBC, EBC, and DNT students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal for the Top-Class School Education and Top-Class College Education schemes through the PM YASASVI program until January 31, 2024. States and union territories (UTs) would be eligible to apply for post-matric scholarships worth ₹387.27 crore and pre-matric scholarships worth ₹32.44 crore in 2023. These scholarships aim to assist students in pursuing post-secondary education.

PM YASASVI will ensure equal access to education, empower students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and cultivate a brighter future for the youth of India. Qualified students can take advantage of these programs and increase their chances of getting into college by applying through the National Scholarship Portal until January 31, 2024.

26th Sept Update:- No entrance exam to get a scholarship from 2023

The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has decided on an alternate distribution strategy for the PM YASASVI scholarships in 2023. Without the need for an entrance exam, the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI) 2023 would be given out only based on merit. The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment’s ruling has forced the National Testing Agency (NTA) to decide against holding the previously planned merit test. Given the time constraints, the department made its decision while taking the convenience of the students into account. As per the guidelines of the program, candidates will be selected based on a merit list that is generated by considering their grades from classes VIII and X.

• Only kids in classes nine and ten benefit from the program.
• Students in class nine would receive an annual income of Rs. 75,000 under the initiative.
• Students in class 11 will also receive 125,000 rupees annually.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the scholarship, the applicant needs to fulfill the following requirements:

• An Indian national should be the applicant.
• The applicant must be in the DNT, EBC, or OBC categories.
• Class 8 or Class 10 (as applicable) passing grades in 2021–2022 are required of the applicant.
• The combined annual income of their parents or guardians should be more than Rs. 2.5 lacs.
• The birth period for applicants seeking to sit for the Class 9 exams is April 1, 2006, through March 31, 2010 (inclusive).
• The birth period for applicants seeking to sit for the Class 11 exams is April 1, 2004, through March 31, 2008, inclusive.
• It is open to boys and girls to apply. For all genders, the same standards must be met.
