Awards under TN Adi Dravida & Tribal ADW Scheme

Candidates applying for the Tamil Nadu Scholarship Scheme for Adi Dravidian and Tribal Students in the state will receive the scholarship awards based on their educational level. In addition to this, their residence status will also affect the rewards that they will receive as benefits of the scheme. The following are the benefits of being a recipient of the ADW scholarship:

• Female students belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes of class III to V will get Rs. stipend will be provided. 500 every year.

Eligibility Criteria for ADW Scholarship Tamil Nadu

To be able to apply for the scholarship and receive its benefits, applicants need to be eligible for recruitment. The following eligibility conditions have been announced by the officials in the state of Tamil Nadu for the Adi Dravida and Tribal Welfare Scholarship:

• The applicant must be a native of Tamil Nadu residing in the state for at least five years.
• Applicants must belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or Minority Muslim category.
• Prospects who have converted to Christianity can also apply for the scheme.
• Students studying in classes 1st to 12th and pursuing education up to PhD level can apply for the recruitment.
• Candidates who are currently studying at a higher educational level that is college need to be self-financed and then only they will apply for the scholarship awards.
• The family income of the applicants should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs annually, combined with all sources.

• The distance between the residences of the applicants seeking assistance in housing expenses by applying for ADW hostels and the colleges, institutes or universities should be more than five kilometres.
• Candidates applying for academic education in highly reputed institutes need to see that they must qualify for the required qualifying examination to get admission in it.
• For higher education under the ADW scheme of scholarships and candidates seeking to apply for scholarships for the same, they must have pursued education from schools that are eligible under the category of Adi Dravida Welfare Schools, GTR, Government or Government aided schools.
