CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship: A new scheme has been formulated by the Directorate of Minorities Welfare, Government of Kerala to provide educational opportunities among girl students from minority communities like Muslim communities, converted Christians,s and Latin Catholics. Financial assistance will be provided to the students studying in the first year of graduation under the CH Muhammad Koya Scholarship. The main objective of starting the scheme is to provide opportunities to complete your education without thinking about any financial constraints. Purpose of the CH Muhammad Koya Scholarship

As we all know that there are many girl students who are not able to pursue their higher education due to their poor economic conditions. Girls from minority communities have high school dropout rates due to a lack of funds. Keeping this in mind the Directorate of Minorities Welfare, Government of Kerala has started a new scheme named as Muhammad Koya Scholarship. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to girl students who wish to pursue higher education. The main objective of starting this scholarship is to provide educational opportunities so that girl students can continue their higher education without thinking about any financial constraints.

CH Muhammad Koya Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:

• The student must belong to a Muslim, Latin, or converted Christian community.
• The students must be domiciled in the state of Kerala.
• The student must be a student of graduation or higher courses in government/aided institutions.
• Students who have given Common Entrance Exam and have taken admitted to self-financing colleges from merit seats are also eligible.
• Students must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examinations.
• The family income of the student should not exceed 8 lakh per annum.
• Students applying for a hostel stipend must be living in recognized hostels.
• Students who are eligible for a hostel stipend will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• Also, students must have a bank account in any recognized bank to receive the scholarship amount.

• छात्र को मुस्लिम, लैटिन या परिवर्तित ईसाई समुदाय से संबंधित होना चाहिए।
• छात्रों को केरल राज्य में अधिवासित होना चाहिए।
• छात्र को सरकारी/सहायता प्राप्त संस्थानों में स्नातक या उच्च पाठ्यक्रमों का छात्र होना चाहिए।
• जिन छात्रों ने कॉमन एंट्रेंस एग्जाम दिया है और मेरिट सीटों से सेल्फ-फाइनेंसिंग कॉलेजों में दाखिला लिया है, वे भी पात्र हैं।
• छात्रों को योग्यता परीक्षाओं में कम से कम 50% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
• छात्र की पारिवारिक आय 8 लाख प्रति वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
• छात्रावास वजीफे के लिए आवेदन करने वाले छात्रों को मान्यता प्राप्त छात्रावासों में रहना चाहिए।
• जो छात्र छात्रावास वजीफा के लिए पात्र हैं, वे छात्रवृत्ति के लिए पात्र नहीं होंगे।
• साथ ही छात्रवृत्ति राशि प्राप्त करने के लिए छात्रों का किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त बैंक में बैंक खाता होना चाहिए।

• फिर, निर्देशों को पढ़ें और छात्र ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण फॉर्म भरने के लिए ‘ऑनलाइन आवेदन करें’ पर क्लिक करें।

DMW will publish the CH Muhammad Koya Scholarship Result online on its official website. The result will be released in the form of a merit list in November/December. Refer to the below points to check CH Muhammad Koya Scholarship Result.

• Click on ‘Awarded Students List’ available under the ‘Home’ menu appearing on the homepage.
• After that select Scholarship Type, Status, Institution Type, State, District, College / Institution Name.
• Then, the list of students recommended for the award of scholarship 2019-20 will be displayed on your screen.
• You can check the merit list by searching for your registration number or name.
