DCE Scholarship: It is also known as Kerala Scholarship, and is a broad term for scholarships that are run by the Government of Kerala and its subsidiary departments. Every year, the Government of Kerala invites applications for several scholarships to ensure that finances do not come in the way of students pursuing their dream academic careers. DCE Scholarship is applicable to students coming from different walks of life. The main objective behind starting these scholarships is to provide suitable financial assistance to the meritorious and deserving students of Kerala state.

There are several scholarship sub-schemes that constitute the DCE Scholarship, all of which have been designed keeping in mind the needs of different sections of society. Sanskrit Scholarship (SSE) | Must be studying Sanskrit as one of the subjects in a UG or PG course. |
Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS) | Must be a student of a Govt. Music/Fine Arts College. |
Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship | Open only for girl students belonging to a BPL family and backward community. Must be enrolled in HSC/VHSC or UG course in a Govt or Aided Arts and Science college. |
Blind/PH Scholarship | Only blind/physically handicapped/deaf students are eligible. Must be enrolled in a Govt/Aided Arts and Science College or Music College or Govt/Aided Higher Secondary/Vocational Higher Secondary School. |
District Merit Scholarship 2022 (DMS) | Must be a student of Higher Secondary/VHSC/ ITI/ Polytechnic course. Must have secured an ‘A+’ grade in all subjects in the SSLC Examination conducted by the Board of Public Examination, Kerala. |
State Merit Scholarship | Must be a first-year student of UG or PG course from a govt/ aided institution. Must have secured at least 50% in the qualifying examination. Annual Family Income: Less than INR 1 lakhs |
Hindi Scholarship (HS) | Must be studying Hindi as one of the subjects in a UG or PG course. |
Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Minorities | Must be a first-year student of 11th/12th/UG/PG/PhD from a govt/ aided/recognised unaided institution. First-year students of Technical/Professional courses of NCVT-affiliated ITI/ITC centres are also eligible. Annual Family Income: Less than INR 2 lakhs Must belong to a Muslim, Christianity, Sikh, Parsi, Jain or Buddhist community Must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. |
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS) | Open only to those belonging to the BPL family Must be a first-year student of a UG/PG course in either Govt/Aided institution Must have secured at least 50% in the qualifying examination |

CA/ICWA/CS Scholarship (IWCS) | The scholarship is open to students from minority communities including Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Parsi, Sikh, Buddhist and Jain. The percentage of marks in the last qualifying exam should be 60%. Family annual income should be less than 8LPA |
