This scheme will help the students belonging to economically weaker families by providing them with better opportunities to start their careers and enhance their skills. This scheme will help the economically weaker section of society and provide employment to them. Students will be able to get better opportunities for higher education. The scholarship will award to the students who really do well in their studies in all the institutes and universities present in India. It will also include technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training of classes at the graduate level.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship will specifically award to students who are studying in government and private colleges and universities in India so that they can easily pursue higher education without worrying about the financial expenses that their families will have to go through. Let them start their career. Students will able to get Rs 20,000 per month and this amount will give in three installments. In this scholarship opportunities will be provided to girl students as well as special children will be provided more opportunities to start their careers in India.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scheme you must follow the following eligibility criteria:-

• All candidates who have passed class X and class XII (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade
• Applicant’s parents/guardians whose annual income (from all sources) does not exceed Rs.2,00,000 per annum are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• Girls who have passed the class X examination (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) are eligible.
• Any wrong information provided by the candidates may result in the cancellation of their scholarship.
• Those contestants who want to pursue further studies are only eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• Applicants who want to pursue Diploma or ITI or Undergraduate or Postgraduate studies in any discipline in any private college are eligible to apply.
• Renewal of LIC Swarna Jayanti Scholarship is required.
• LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Foundation may make changes to the scheme at any time
• Regular scholarships should be awarded only to those students who are going for graduation (or its equivalent). This scholarship is not for postgraduate study.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Award Details

The following benefits will be provided to the candidates while applying for this prestigious scholarship:-

• The selected regular scholars will get Rs. 20,000/- per annum will be awarded and payable in three quarterly installments.
• An amount of Rs.10,000/- per annum will be provided to the selected special girl child to study in the 10+2 course and the scholarship will be payable in three quarterly installments.
• And the scholarship will be awarded for the entire duration of the course for regular scholars and for two years for special girl scholars, provided the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions required for renewal.
• Selection Process for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
• Various amounts of scholarship assistance will be provided to the students under the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship. And the selection of students for this scholarship program will be based on merit and family background such as the percentage of marks obtained in 12th/10th standard and the annual income of the applicant’s family. So the student with the lowest annual income will be given preference in ascending order.

Terms and Conditions

To apply for this scholarship the applicant must comply with the following terms and conditions:-

• Candidates will be selected purely on the basis of merit (percentage of marks in class 10th & 12th and family background). Preference is given in ascending order of income to students with the lowest annual family income.
• In the final review of the program, students must have secured more than 50 percent marks in undergraduate courses in Science/Commerce/Arts and 55 percent or respective rank in academic subjects to retain the scholarship for the next year.
• In a household, only one nominee can earn the scholarship.
• To continue the scholarship, the candidate must attend the classes regularly.
• If an applicant breaks certain terms and conditions, the grant may be suspended or revoked.
• The scholarship will be canceled forthwith at the discretion of the concerned LIC Circle Administration. The balance amount of the scholarship paid will be reinstated in case it is found that the applicant has earned the scholarship by making false statements/certificates.
• LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (LICGJF) will take the initiative to develop a comprehensive system for the collection and acceptance of LIC scholarships for selected students.
• LICGJF will evaluate the scheme at regular intervals.
• The rules are subject to change at any time, at the discretion of the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation Board of Trustees.
