LIC Scholarship: LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2022 is an opportunity offered by Life Insurance Corporation of India (an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company) for class 12 passed or equivalent/ Diploma students and girl students pursuing higher studies in the Intermediate/ 10+2 pattern. / Professional or Diploma Courses. So selected candidates will get up to INR 20,00 per annum. It is for students belonging to the economically weaker section for pursuing higher studies.

Objective
The objective of the scheme is to provide scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to provide them with higher education and better employment opportunities.

Scope
The scholarship is to be awarded for study in a government or private college/university in India. So this will also include technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and integrated courses after class XII.

Eligibility
For Regular Scholar
All candidates who have passed the Class XII examination (or its equivalent – Regular / Vocational) / Diploma with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) and whose parent/guardian’s annual income ( from all sources) not exceeding Rs.2,50,000* per annum (Please see clause 6(i) – exemption) are eligible to apply for the scholarship. So the grant is awarded to those students who want to pursue higher education in the field of medicine, or engineering, graduate in any discipline, integrated course, diploma course in any field or other equivalent course, or professional course through government-recognized colleges Are willing (and willing). To encourage girl child education, Class 10 to pursue higher studies in Intermediate/10+2 pattern/Vocational or Diploma courses through courses in Government recognized colleges/institutes or Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for two years Special scholarship for girl child after Candidates who have passed class X examination (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) and whose parent/guardian’s annual income (from all sources) is Rs. It is not more than that. 2,50,000 per annum.
Note: Regular scholarship should be awarded only to those students who are going for under-graduation (or its equivalent including integrated courses). This scholarship is not for postgraduate study.

Duration
The scholarship will be awarded for the entire duration of the course for regular scholars and for two years for special girl scholars, provided the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions required for renewal.
Scholarship Rate
- Selected regular scholars will get Rs. 20,000/- per annum will be awarded and payable in three installments.
- An amount of Rs.10,000/- per annum will be provided for the selected special girl child and the scholarship will be payable in three installments.
- The scholarship amount will be transferred through NEFT to the bank account of the selected scholar. If the candidate is selected for the scholarship, a copy of the canceled check with bank account details and IFSC code and the beneficiary name is mandatory. In the case of merged banks, the new IFSC code of the bank should be mentioned. The bank account to which the amount is to be transferred should be active and if it is inactive, it should be activated before providing the details. The maximum balance allowed under the bank account should also be checked.

Selection Process for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
Various amounts of scholarship assistance will be provided to the students under the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship. The selection of students for this scholarship program will be based on merit and family background such as the percentage of marks obtained in 12th/10th standard and the annual income of the applicant’s family. So the student with the lowest annual income will be given preference in ascending order.
