Scholarship for Minorities is for minority students studying in classes 1 to 10. Therefore, candidates eligible for this MOMA scholarship must belong to any of the minority communities. Following are the eligibility requirements for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities-
- Applicants must belong to a minority community notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis (Parsis) and Jains.
- Candidates must have studied classes 1 to 10 in government or private schools.
- Students applying for this MoMA scholarship must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the previous final examination.
- The annual family income of the parents/guardian of the candidate should not exceed Rs.1 lakh. This annual income includes the total income from all sources.

Can we give bank accounts to parents for scholarships?
The bank account details of the candidate should be there, but if the candidate is a minor then he/she can upload his/her father’s bank details.
Can a student apply for both National and State scholarships?
No, you can apply for only one Govt. Scholarship as applying for a scholarship under National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is required to apply under State Scholarship Portal (SSP) as applying under SSP requires an NSP ID. Only those students who are not included in NSP will come under the purview of SSP.
What are pre-matric and post-matric?
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for the students of classes 1st to 10th. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for the students of class 11th, 12th and above and includes courses like ITI, BSc, BCom, BTech, Medical etc.
