The Objective of the Vikas Bhavan Scholarship
There are many students who are not able to pursue higher education due to their weak economic conditions. And this situation leads to a dropout rate of students due to a lack of financial funds. Keeping this in mind the Government of West Bengal has started a new scheme called Vikas Bhavan Scholarship. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to economically weak students who want to pursue education in class XI, XII, graduation or post-graduation, and doctoral level. The main objective of this scheme is to reduce the dropout rate of children due to a lack of financial funds.

Scholarship Selection Criteria
The following selection criteria are necessary to apply under the Bikash Bhavan Scholarship
- The number of applications submitted by the student will be sorted in descending order from the first digit
- A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the availability of required documents submitted by the candidate
- After that, the scholarship amount will be disbursed by the concerned authority
- This scholarship amount provided should be returned immediately if students are suspected of false information
- Those who have alleged false information are debarred from applying for any government scholarship in future
- Legal action will be taken against the candidate as per the rules
- छात्र द्वारा जमा किए गए आवेदनों की संख्या को पहले अंक से अवरोही क्रम में क्रमबद्ध किया जाएगा
- उम्मीदवार द्वारा प्रस्तुत आवश्यक दस्तावेजों की उपलब्धता के आधार पर एक योग्यता सूची तैयार की जाएगी
- उसके बाद, संबंधित प्राधिकरण द्वारा छात्रवृत्ति राशि का वितरण किया जाएगा

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are divided into two categories to get the benefits under the Bikash Bhavan Scholarship
General Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
- He/she should be studying in West Bengal at Post Graduate level or above class 11-12 in an AT institute of Graduation or Post Graduate Doctor level.
- An applicant must have passed a State Board of Secondary and Higher Education Council
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum
- एक आवेदक को पश्चिम बंगाल का स्थायी निवासी होना चाहिए
- उसे पश्चिम बंगाल में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट स्तर पर या एटी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ ग्रेजुएशन या पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट डॉक्टर स्तर पर कक्षा 11-12 से ऊपर का अध्ययन करना चाहिए।
- एक आवेदक को माध्यमिक और उच्च शिक्षा परिषद के राज्य बोर्ड से उत्तीर्ण होना चाहिए
- वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय रुपये से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। 2.5 लाख प्रति वर्ष
