EBC Scholarship: Open Merit Scholarship for EBC Students, Maharashtra 2022-23 is an initiative of the Department of School Education & Sports, Government of Maharashtra to provide financial assistance to EBC category students studying in classes 11 & 12. The main objective of the scholarship is to enable the students. To continue their higher education further. Selected students will receive a scholarship amount of up to Rs 140 per month for boys and Rs 160 per month for girls for 10 months.

EBC Scholarship: Application Process
Eligible candidates can apply online for the scholarship. As per eligibility, EBC students can apply for any one of the two scholarships available to them in Maharashtra. And candidates have to register before filling out the application form. The officials will only accept the application form with supporting documents. Incomplete or wrong information in the form will be rejected. To avoid any confusion no candidate should request for extension of the date and should apply within the deadline. Find below the steps to apply for EBC Scholarship-
Step 1: Registration
Go to the official website of the government- https://mahdbtmahait.gov.in/
Click on ‘New Registration’.
Then provide Name, Username, Password, Confirm Password, Email-ID, and Mobile Number.
Now click on ‘Get OTP’ for email ID verification. Verification will be over after clicking on the link sent to the registered mail id.
Click on ‘Get OTP’ for mobile number verification and click on the link sent.
On successful verification, select Register.
2nd Step: Fill out the Application Form
Log in with your User ID and Password.
A dashboard will open.
Click on the Profile tab and fill in the personal details like Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Email ID, etc.
Provide state, district, village, pin code, etc. under address information.
And in the ‘Other Information’ tab, enter the mandatory fields.
Enter the course details and previous educational qualification.
Provide hostel details and select the scheme name and department from the drop-down options.
Submit the application form.
Under Scrutiny Applications, candidates can check Application ID, Department Name, Scheme, Name, Status, Action, etc.

पते की जानकारी के तहत राज्य, जिला, गांव, पिन कोड आदि उपलब्ध कराएं।
और ‘अन्य जानकारी’ टैब में, अनिवार्य फ़ील्ड दर्ज करें।
पाठ्यक्रम विवरण और पिछली शैक्षिक योग्यता दर्ज करें।
छात्रावास का विवरण प्रदान करें और ड्रॉप-डाउन विकल्पों में से योजना का नाम और विभाग का चयन करें।
आवेदन पत्र जमा करें।
स्क्रूटनी एप्लिकेशन के तहत, उम्मीदवार आवेदन आईडी, विभाग का नाम, योजना, नाम, स्थिति, कार्रवाई आदि की जांच कर सकते हैं।
EBC Scholarships: Selection Process
The officials will consider the financial status of the candidates along with their merit for the selection. The authority evaluates the applications of the candidates and confirms their eligibility before awarding the scholarship. The selection result will be available online for the candidates. Shortlisted candidates will receive individual awards under the scholarship scheme. The officials will provide financial assistance to the selected EBC candidates in the form of fee exemption amounts.
EBC Scholarship: Reward
After the completion of the selection process, the official will award the scholarship to the selected candidates. The reward will be different under both the EBC Scholarships. Award of Under Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students
The officials will provide a scholarship of INR 140 per month to the boys of the hostel for ten months.
Non-hosteling boys will receive INR 80 per month for ten months.
Under the scholarship, the hostel girls will receive Rs 160 per month which will go up to Rs 1600 for ten months.
Non-hosteling girls will get INR 100 per month for ten months.
EBC Scholarship: Renewal
The officials provide scholarships to the candidates for a particular period. All the selected candidates need to renew the scholarship to get the benefits. The officials will issue the renewal application. The authority sets the renewal policy which candidates must check before renewing the scholarship. Candidates must secure the minimum percentage in order to become eligible for the scholarship.
EBC Scholarship: Benefits
Maharashtra government announces annual scholarship for economically backward class. Students belonging to this category can avail of the scholarship if selected. This is an opportunity for all EBC students to complete their education without any financial restrictions. See below the benefits of the EBC Scholarship-
The scholarship provides financial support to EBC students and helps them to complete their education.
The award under the scholarship scheme may be in the form of an amount. At the same time, under some scholarships, students also get some percentage exemption in fees.
Students belonging to economically backward classes can avail of merit scholarships for ten months of an academic year.
Candidates should not be availing of any other stipend or scholarship.
Under the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shiksha Shulakh Scholarship Scheme, only two students from a family can apply for the scheme.
Candidates must have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester to apply for the scheme. However, this rule is not applicable to newly recruited candidates.
During the duration of the course, the candidates should not have a gap of two or more years.
Candidates who get admission under the General or SEBC category only can apply for Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Tuition Fee Scholarship Scheme.
Selected candidates under the Merit Scholarship for EBC Students will have to apply for renewal to continue receiving the benefits.
Incomplete or incorrect information in the application form may lead to disqualification.
The officials first assess the financial status of the candidates and give priority to the candidates with low annual income for the scholarship.
The application process will be online only.
The officials will not accept any applications beyond the deadline. No request should be made in this regard.
Candidates applying for Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulakh Shishyavarti Yojana should secure admission through a centralized admission process.
Candidates have to upload the documents as per the specifications of the authority.

आवेदन पत्र में अधूरी या गलत जानकारी के कारण अयोग्यता हो सकती है।
अधिकारी पहले उम्मीदवारों की वित्तीय स्थिति का आकलन करते हैं और छात्रवृत्ति के लिए कम वार्षिक आय वाले उम्मीदवारों को प्राथमिकता देते हैं।
आवेदन प्रक्रिया केवल ऑनलाइन होगी।
अधिकारी समय सीमा से परे किसी भी आवेदन को स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे। इस संबंध में कोई अनुरोध नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।
राजर्षि छत्रपति शाहू महाराज शिक्षण शुल्क शिष्यवर्ती योजना के लिए आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को एक केंद्रीकृत प्रवेश प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से प्रवेश सुरक्षित करना चाहिए।
