Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with good academic records from the North-Eastern region are eligible for the scholarship. The details of the Scholarship eligibility criteria are given below:

• The applicant must be domiciled in one of the North-Eastern states.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 4.5 Lakh.
• Candidate must have passed the class 12th examination or its equivalent level of schooling in the previous year.
• Transgender students are also eligible to apply for NSP Ishan Uday Scholarship.
• Candidates studying through open universities are not eligible for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme.
• Candidates who get admission under any other reservation quota are not eligible to apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship.
• The candidate must have obtained admission to any University / College recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

How to Apply?

Interested candidates have to apply online for the scholarship through National Scholarship Portal Ishan Uday Yojana. Read below to know how to apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship:

• Candidates must first register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
• Applicants have to fill in the required details including their Aadhaar number, bank details, etc.
• After registration, candidates will receive an Ishan Uday Scholarship login details. Application ID is generated on the basis of the domicile state of the candidate.
• After this, the candidate has to complete an OTP authentication process.
