Maulana Scholarship: The Maulana Azad Scholarship was inaugurated in the years 2002 and 2003. And there are almost two types of scholarship present in the Maulana Azad Scholarship. Both scholarships provide a wide range of incentives to all the students who are not able to pay their fees due to their high rates. Another important type of scholarship that is provided by the officials of the Maulana Azad Fellowship is the Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship. Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship is only available for all girl students in colleges or universities in India. Eligibility Criteria

There exist two types of scholarship Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship and the Maulana Azad Fellowship. The eligibility criteria for both scholarships are given below separately:-

For Begum Hazrat Mahal-

• This scholarship is applicable only to girl students.
• The applicant must belong to any of the following categories or religions-
  • Muslims
  • Christians
  • Buddhists
  • Jain
  • Parsi
• Applicant must be studying in class 9th to 12th
• Applicant must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the previous class.
• Annual household income should not exceed 2 lakhs.
• The scholarship is not applicable to more than two students from the same family.

For Maulana Azad Fellowship-

• The applicant must belong to the following categories-
• scheduled caste
• scheduled tribe
• Other backward classes
  • Muslim
  • Christian
  • Sikh
  • Buddhist
  • Parsi
  • Jain
• Candidate must follow the-
  • A regular/full-time M.Phil / Ph.D. Course in University / Educational Institution
  • The annual household income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh from all sources.
  • The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks at the post-graduate level.
  • Transgender candidates are also eligible to apply under the scheme.
  • Reservation is followed as per the norms of the Government of India.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship amount is Rs 5,000 for classes 9th and class 10th and Rs 6,000 for classes 11th and class 12th. And the scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. Also, the applicant can check the scholarship amount by visiting the concerned bank. Any other mode of payment of scholarship amounts such as payment by transfer to parent/guardian’s account and payment through check media is not available under any circumstances.

Selection Process:

Applicants for the Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship formerly known as Maulana Azad Education Scholarship are selected on the basis of their annual family income. A student with at least 50% marks in the previous examinations is selected for the scholarship. And the annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.

To apply for the Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship the applicant has to follow the following steps:

• Click on New Registration
• Guidance for scholarships will be displayed on your screen. Click on the option named Continue.
• The application form will open on your screen

There is no application process for renewal of the Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship form.
