NSF Scholarship: The NSF Scholarship is a merit-cum-means scholarship offered by the North South Foundation, based in Illinois (USA). The main objective of this MCM Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious and economically backward students of the country in their endeavor to complete their graduation. Under NSF Scholarship, applicants who have passed class 12th and are taking admission to professional courses are eligible to apply. Furthermore, it is an annual scholarship that supports over 1,500 students every year till the completion of their graduation. However, the candidates need to maintain high academic standards.

NSF Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Apart from passing the class XII examination, applicants must also be rank holders in the entrance examination to apply for an NSF graduate scholarship. However, Diploma students who want to avail the benefits of the NSF scholarship must have passed the class X board exam. The North-South Foundation (NSF) has similar eligibility criteria based on which students are selected. NSF Scholarship Requirements are as follows:

• Must have passed class X or class XII and should be in the top 10%.
• Must have a rank in CET, NEET, or JEE exam in their respective states.
• Family income should not exceed INR 1,00,000
• NSF Scholarships for Undergraduate Students invites applications from those who have enrolled in one of the courses:
• engineering
• Architecture
• Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, and BDS)
• B.V.Sc
• B.Pharma
• B.Sc in Nursing
• BSc in Agriculture
• Students pursuing diploma courses in engineering or agriculture can apply for NSF scholarships.
• Applicants must have done diploma courses in government or government-aided college.

NSF Scholarship Award

Candidates can avail the benefits of the NSF graduate scholarship till the completion of their course. However, they must maintain good grades. Selected students will receive an amount ranging from INR 8,000 to INR 25,000. They must not be receiving any other financial aid or scholarship at the time of application.

How to Apply for NSF Scholarship?

Interested candidates can apply online for the North-South Foundation NSF Scholarship at Chapter Level in India. The NSF Scholarship Application Form has eight sections: Personal Statement, Current Education, Past Education, Family Members, Expenses, Description, Photo, and Announcements. Candidates should fill in all the fields on the admit card. Below is the step-by-step process to apply for an NSF scholarship:

• Candidates must visit the official NSF Scholarship website.
• They have to click on ‘India Login’.
• Freshers applying for the first time need to click on the ‘Applicant’ section.
• They should read the terms and conditions and if you are a new user, click here.
• Now, the candidate should fill in the details to complete the NSF Scholarship Registration.
• His active email ID will be the username.
• They can now fill out the online application form.
• Candidates should answer all the questions in the statement tab.
• They should upload the required documents.
• Applicants should click on ‘Save’.
• They can see the ‘Submit’ button after clicking on ‘Save’ in the Declaration tab.

How to renew an NSF scholarship?

Candidates should renew their scholarship every year till they complete their course. So they can renew by logging into the NSF Scholarship website using their registered email/username and password. And additionally, they should attach the necessary documents for verification and approval. Candidates should submit the application within the last date of NSF Scholarship Renewal 2022. The steps to apply for renewal are as follows:

• To renew the NSF scholarship candidates must visit the official NSF page.
• They have to click on ‘India Login’.
• Now, they should click on the tab ‘Applicants-Students who are applying for the scholarship’.
• Candidates should enter their registered email id and password to complete the NSF Scholarship login process.
• They have to click on ‘File Renewal Application’.
• Applicants should fill NSF Scholarship Renewal Form.
• And they can now click on ‘Submit & Print PDF’.
• Candidates should print the renewal form and send it along with the documents to the office of the nearest chapter coordinator

NSF Scholarship Important Documents

Candidates should ensure that all documents contain accurate and factual information. While applying online for NSF Scholarship, candidates should upload the documents under the declaration tab. Given below is a list of the required documents:

• College Admission Letter
• CET / JEE / NEET scorecard of the candidate
• His bonafide certificate from the college
• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• The college should issue a receipt for the tuition fee which is paid or payable by the candidate.
• Income certificate issued by the competent authorities
• Ration/Aadhaar Card
• Two passport-size photographs of the candidate
• A picture of the family standing in front of their house
• In case the reservation category is not mentioned in the CET/JEE/NEET scorecard, students should submit a reservation category card duly attested.

NSF Scholarship Selection Process

Each chapter in India will have a volunteer who will act as the ICC (India Chapter Coordinator). The ICC will be responsible for forming the selection committee, reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, and distributing NSF scholarship awards. The selection of the candidates is mainly done on the basis of their educational qualifications. The selection process includes the following:

• The ICC scrutinizes NSF scholarship applications for their respective chapters.
• Shortlisted candidates must attend an interview.
  • Note: Candidate must be accompanied by a guardian. NSF will reimburse the bus or train fare.
• On the basis of the interview conducted, the selection committee will recommend the candidates to the NSF India Coordinator, Hyderabad.
• The selection committee will finalize the list of candidates after approval from the NSF India coordinator and the US scholarship team.
• Selected students will receive their NSF scholarship funds at an award ceremony organized by the North-South Foundation (NSF).

NSF छात्रवृत्ति चयन प्रक्रिया

भारत में प्रत्येक अध्याय में एक स्वयंसेवक होगा जो ICC (इंडिया चैप्टर समन्वयक) के रूप में कार्य करेगा। ICC चयन समिति के गठन, आवेदनों की समीक्षा करने, आवेदकों का साक्षात्कार लेने और NSF छात्रवृत्ति पुरस्कार वितरित करने के लिए जिम्मेदार होगा। उम्मीदवारों का चयन मुख्य रूप से उनकी शैक्षिक योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाता है। चयन प्रक्रिया में निम्नलिखित शामिल हैं:
