So for this purpose, the government has launched a National Scholarship Portal. Through the National scholarship portal, the students can apply for various scholarship schemes offered by the central and state government. So This portal has been launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology, Government of India. National Scholarship Gov Portal – Key Documents Required

While applying for any scholarship on NSP, the students are required to upload certain documents to complete the application process. However, for the scholarship amount less than INR 50,000, the students are not required to upload any document. They need to submit a copy of the documents to their respective schools/colleges/institute. For all other scholarships, the students should keep the following documents handy –

• Bank Passbook
• Educational documents
• Aadhaar number
• Domicile Certificate (as specified in the respective scholarship guidelines)
• Income Certificate (as specified in the respective scholarship guidelines)
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Bonafide student certificate from school/institute (if the institute/school is different from the domicile state of the applicant)

National Scholarship Gov Portal How can you apply for a scholarship?

In order to stay advantaged with the scholarships mentioned above, you need to register yourself on NSP through Student Login. So, However, before applying for a scholarship, the students need to make sure that their current educational institution is registered on the portal. Thereby If the institution is not registered on the portal, the student would not be able to apply for any scholarship. So The portal also has the provision for the institutions to register themselves, if not already registered.

Important guidelines: National Scholarship Scheme 2021

One must take note that the National Scholarship Scheme (NSS) 2021 is not for students who are pursuing diploma courses and correspondence or distance mode courses. So The students who wish to apply for this scheme should be pursuing regular courses in institutions or colleges that are recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, or Dental Council of India. So If the applicants are availing the benefits of any other scholarship schemes including the State-run scholarships, or fee waiver and reimbursement schemes are not eligible to apply for the same.
Thereby online applications of the students shall be verified at two levels – by the institute where the student is studying, and by the respective State Education Board. So Any application that is not verified either by the concerned State Education Board or the institute or by both shall be treated as invalid. So A scholarship under this scheme is renewable on year to year basis up to the postgraduate level in the same stream, except for the student pursuing technical courses leading to a degree at graduation level.
