Students must be natives of Jammu and Kashmir and should be studying from class 11 to the postdoctoral level. The annual income of the family from all sources should be less than Rs 2 lakh.

Students should be pursuing full-time regular study in a Government school or a school recognized by the Government or Central/State Board of Secondary Education. And the annual income of the family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.

ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious SC/ST Students

The minimum marks to be obtained by the students in the final qualifying examination is 60 percentile or 6.0 CGPA/OGPA on a 10 marks scale.
