Jindal Scholarship: Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is a merit-cum-means based scholarship scheme. Initiated by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation, a charitable organization in Bengaluru, Jindal Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving meritorious candidates belonging to underprivileged families. Candidates need to study from class 11th to post-graduation to be eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. And the scholarship also covers Polytechnic and Diploma courses in Technical Education. Selected students can avail of a scholarship amount of up to Rs.3,200 per month under this scholarship scheme.

About Jindal Foundation

Sitaram Jindal Foundation is a charitable organization in Bangalore and was started with the sole aim of helping the moral and social upliftment of the weaker sections of society. The Foundation was conceived by Dr. Sitaram Jindal and established in 1969. Sitaram Jindal Scholarship – Key Dates

Jindal scholarship comes under the category of round a year scholarship, that is, its application is open throughout the year. Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship if required. However, candidates can apply for the scholarship only once in the duration of their course.

जिंदल स्कॉलरशिप राउंड ए ईयर स्कॉलरशिप की श्रेणी में आती है, यानी इसका आवेदन साल भर खुला रहता है। योग्य उम्मीदवार यदि आवश्यक हो तो छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं। हालांकि, उम्मीदवार अपने पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि में केवल एक बार छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

Jindal Scholarship: Eligibility

Eligibility for Category A

  • उम्मीदवार कक्षा 11वीं या 12वीं के छात्र होने चाहिए।
  • महिला उम्मीदवारों को कम से कम 60% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए, और पुरुष आवेदकों को पिछली परीक्षा में कम से कम 65% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।

  • छात्रों की आयु 30 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
  • रोजगार के मामले में, परिवार की आय INR 4 लाख प्रति वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
  • अन्य छात्रों के मामले में, परिवार की आय INR 2.5 लाख प्रति वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।

Category B

  • Male candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks and female candidates must have secured 40% marks in the previous exam.
  • Candidates should have done ITI courses from any private or government institute.
  • Candidates’ age should not exceed 30 years.
  • The annual income of the candidate should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh per annum.
  • In the case of employment, the family income should not exceed INR 4 lakh per annum.

Eligibility for Category C (Undergraduates)

  • अंतिम वर्ष की परीक्षा में उम्मीदवारों को लड़कों के मामले में न्यूनतम 60% अंक और लड़कियों के उम्मीदवारों के मामले में 55% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
  • कर्नाटक के छात्रों के मामले में, पुरुष उम्मीदवारों को कम से कम 70% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए और महिला उम्मीदवारों को 65% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
  • उम्मीदवार की आवश्यक आयु 30 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
  • पश्चिम बंगाल से संबंधित छात्रों के लिए न्यूनतम आवश्यक प्रतिशत लड़कियों के मामले में 60% अंक और लड़कों के मामले में 65% अंक हैं।

Category C (Post Graduates)

  • The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 65% marks in the case of boys and 60% in the case of girls in the previous year’s examination.
  • In the case of Karnataka students, male candidates must have secured at least 70% marks and female candidates must have secured 65% marks.
  • The minimum family income limit in case of employment is INR 4 Lakh per annum, and for another candidate, the family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh per annum.

Eligibility for Category D

  • उम्मीदवार किसी भी डिप्लोमा कोर्स जैसे ऑटोमोबाइल टेक, कंप्यूटर साइंस, सिविल इंजीनियरिंग, फार्मेसी और फिजियोथेरेपी, पर्यावरण और रसायन विज्ञान से संबंधित पाठ्यक्रमों का छात्र होना चाहिए।
  • उम्मीदवारों को पिछले वर्ष की परीक्षा में न्यूनतम 60% अंक (पुरुष उम्मीदवारों के लिए) और 55% अंक (महिला उम्मीदवारों के लिए) प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
  • उम्मीदवारों की आयु 30 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।

Application Process of Sitaram Jindal Scholarship

Jindal Scholarship Application Form can be submitted both offline and online. Applicants have to apply through the official website of the Sitaram Jindal Foundation. Follow the steps given below to apply online for Jindal Scholarship.

  • Visit the official website of Sitaram Jindal Scholarship: sitaramjindalfoundation.org
  • Click on the option ‘Apply for Scholarship’ on the home page.
  • Click on ‘Download applications and attachments. You will get a PDF of the application form in a new tab. Download that PDF and take a printout of it.
  • Fill out the application form carefully with all the details asked like name, date of birth, nationality, address, father’s name, etc. Re-check all the filled details.
  • Send the completed form to The Trustee, Sitaram Jindal Foundation, Jindal Nagar, Tumkur Road, Bengaluru 560073

Note: Only those application forms that can be downloaded free of charge from the Foundation’s website will be accepted. Applications printed separately (in the printing press) will not be considered.

Documents Required to Fill Jindal Scholarship Application Form

All the candidates must attach some important documents along with their application forms. While sending the application form to the officials of the Sitaram Jindal Foundation.

  • Photocopy of the mark sheet of the last examination passed.
  • Photocopy of SSLC/HSC Marks Card. (If it does not contain the date of birth, any other proof of date of birth has to be submitted additionally).
  • Candidates should submit a photocopy of the income certificate (for categories A and B i.e. PUC and ITI students, photocopy of BPL card or income certificate). Photocopy of Income Certificate issued by the concerned authorities as indicated by the respective State Governments for Category C, D, and E students, i.e. Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Engineering, and Medical students. The income certificate should be less than four years old at the time of application. Also, an income certificate is not required from orphans, who have to submit the death certificate of their parents.
  • Certificate regarding annual fee as per Annexure-VIII.
  • Certificate in respect of admission of students under Government Merit Quota as per Annexure-VII (in case of B.Sc (Ag), B.Sc (Forestry), BVSC, Diploma, Engineering, Medical and MBA students)
  • For hostellers, a certificate from the warden or owner of private accommodation as per Annexure-IV or Annexure-IX is applicable.
  • For the physically handicapped, a certificate from a competent authority.
